Employee Spotlight: Pat Avallone, Client Service Manager
In our new spotlight, we meet our Client Service Manager, Pat Avallone, who has been with Nova Polymers since 2009. Having worked in a similar role at his previous company, Pat leverages his vast client service experience to manage and deliver ADA-compliant materials and equipment to our clients all across the country.
In the eleven years Pat has been with Nova Polymers, he has been a steadfast liaison between the company and our sign industry customers and partners.
What roles do you play for the company?
As a client service manager, I handle all functions related to ensuring client satisfaction. I provide customer support with whatever they need, facilitate the sale of photopolymer materials and equipment, coordinate trade shows, manage inventory, and assist manufacturing with material production schedules.
What is your favorite thing about Nova Polymers?
At Nova, everyone has different roles and responsibilities, but at the end of the day, we all strive for the same goal: to supply the best possible product while assisting a great group of customers. And we are truly a family. We take the time to get to know each other’s lives, both in and out of work.
What was the most challenging project you’ve worked on?
Every day is a new challenge, so there isn’t one that really stands out. Nova Polymers is a fast-paced business and every day, you have to challenge yourself to dive into new situations you have never encountered before.
How has Nova Polymers changed since you started?
As a fast-paced business, we have to constantly change and adapt to the times. Since I started in 2009, we have definitely become more tech-savvy, leveraging new technologies like live chats and social media to enhance our relationships and connect with customers.
What is your favorite thing about the sign industry?
Similar to a previous answer, the people I’ve met in this industry are some of the most wonderful people I know. Many have gone on to become my friends outside of work.
What is a fun fact about yourself?
On Sunday mornings, I love waking up early to make my Grandma’s special sauce and meatball recipe for my family.
What are some things you like to do in your spare time?
I mostly like to spend time with my wife and kids. When they’re busy, I like working on and driving my classic car, going to the gym, and cooking.
If you had an all-expenses paid vacation, where would you go and why?
I’m not really a world traveler so I would probably just go to California to meet as many old-school hot-rod builders that I could.
What’s the first thing that you do when you start working every day?
I like to start my day off by checking my emails and calling our manufacturing manager, Dave Burkholder, in Ohio to go over the day’s material needs.
What’s one thing no one knows about you that would surprise people?
I’m actually a really good baseball player. My goal at one point in life was to play baseball professionally.
Pat is key to our goal of achieving on-going world-class support. With every email and phone call, he provides reliable and impeccable service, working to ensure the satisfaction of our customers and the timely delivery of Nova Polymer’s photopolymer materials.
