Sign Builder Illustrated just sent out their July issue. On page 26 is an article titled The Adhesive-to-Substrate Matrix that I wrote that talks about sign adhesives. We’ve worked with Park Place Signs in Hannibal, MO and 3M over the past 8 months to test different adhesives for mounting dissimilar materials together as well as mounting different substrates to the wall in both an interior and exterior environment.

The articles talks about the need to review all materials and processing procedures in a typical sign shop to ensure maximum performance while reducing the costs associated with failures in the the field and signs that need to be remade which cost both time and money for the shop owner.
